Room in private house available in vibrant Whiteaker neighborhood.

Hey, don't forget to check the availability date. I hate to turn folks down who call when not available :-)

DISCLAIMER: The sponsored ratings at the bottom of the page are wrong on several accounts. Lane Transit is 1 or 2 blocks away, direct to...
Eugene Station or the EMX is 3 blocks and direct to UofO. You don't need to have a car here, especially if you are a biking enthusiast. The area is supremely walkable, gorgeous giant tree park right across the street, 14 miles of river walk 1 block away, Whiteaker center 3 blocks away with all amenities. And this is a family neighborhood: minimal traffic, no business, airport? that is 15 miles away. There is a train route 3 blocks away that is in active use and the engines blow their horns regularly. However, the sound is very manageable. Haven't had one tenant complain. Several have said they like it reverberating in the distance.

Come live at Nano Farm!

One block from the Willamette River in the vibrant Whiteaker neighborhood. There is currently one furnished room available ($800 10x16) in our 1700 sq. ft. home. It is the Turtle room in the pictures. The Moose room is currently rented to a grad student. Enjoy extensive gardens, comfy patio, fireplace, sauna, and a safe friendly neighborhood. Newly renovated Sladden park is right across the street with giant evergreens, tennis/pickleball court, basketball court, and a brand new playground. There is no cable TV access (my preference), although there is high-speed internet. Odor-free required: laundry (no dryer sheets either), bath shampoo/soap, candles, incense, etc.

Downtown Whiteaker (2 blocks away) is full of good eats, cafes, comfy pubs, and craft breweries and distilleries. There is a natural food store, old-school grocery store (good natural foods selection as well), and a funky Sunday market during the season.

Our section of Whiteaker is between First Ave. and the river and is friendly and safe with plenty of on-street parking. The river walk is one block away and offers 14 miles of running, walking, biking opportunities (it leads to U of O). The U of O is 2.5 miles away (10 min. by car).

I am looking for visiting professionals/academics, traveling nurses, graduate students.

I am a U of O alum and a freelance copy editor/indexer who works at home. In addition, I am a writer/journalist and composer/musician. I prefer a quiet atmosphere with appropriate amounts of socializing and a food fest every once in a while. I live in the home with my scaredy cat Momo. My partner lives and works in Ashland, Oregon.

This is a wonderful place to live. Please let me know if you have questions. Good luck in your search for a home for your stay in Eugene.
