Room in cute apartment next to UO! / Move-in Apr. 7th / (ysk cats live here!)

Are you tidy, self-sufficient, responsible, proactive, and relatively quiet? So am I! I’m a mid-twenties UO student looking for a roommate (preferably a woman) to sublet the other room in my apartment in the most walkable area of Eugene.

The...
apartment is smack-dab between campus and downtown. It’s EXTREMELY walkable! The walk to campus only takes 10-15 minutes. It also only takes 10-15 to walk to the farmers market. The apartment building is close to major bus lines, the main downtown bus depot, and downtown public library.

ABOUT THE SPACE:

- Two bedrooms total. One is filled. The second bedroom can fit one tenant. (You would be taking over the lease of that room’s previous tenant)
- One shared bathroom with tub/shower combo.
- Fully furnished common spaces.
- Heating in each room. Air conditioning in shared spaces. No AC in the bedroom.
- Second floor apartment with stairway access (NOT wheelchair accessible — limited accessibility for physical disabilities, but it’s doable).
- Keypad entry to access the apartments (open air hallways).
- Keyed laundry room for building (quarters needed).
- Small dishwasher.
- Harwood floors in LR, entryway, and hallway. Linoleum in kitchen and bathroom.
- Carpeted and Unfurnished bedroom with closet. Carpet professionally cleaned the month of move-in.
- Absolutely no smoking or vaping (of any substance) is allowed inside the apartment or its building.

HOUSEHOLD EXPECTATIONS:

- The new tenant will be added to the lease agreement for the full one-year term. The lease term goes from April 7th, 2025 to April 7th, 2026 (one year).
- Rent will be a flat monthly payment to cover the incoming tenant’s portion of the rent and utility bills as well as half of shared household expenses (including but not limited to things toilet paper and cleaning supplies).
- Both tenants will be responsible for cleaning shared spaces (i.e. cleaning the toilet, mopping, etc.) and maintaining a clean space. We can discuss what that looks like upon move-in!
- Both tenants are expected to promptly and proactively clean up after themselves in the shared spaces (washing their dishes each day or two, clearing out their half of the fridge regularly, cleaning spilled food off the stove, etc).

NOTE: You must be cat-friendly, but you cannot have your own pets (or get pets during the duration of tenancy). There are already three cats listed on the lease. They’re owned by the current tenant and will be completely cared for by their owner. The cats are very personable and snuggly!

A bit about me, the tenant of the other bedroom:

I think the best people to live with are flexible, patient, and proactive, so you can expect me to act like that, too.
I’m a “granny hobbies” kinda person: reading, sewing, crocheting, drawing, painting, watching movies, etc. My default is to keep to myself, but I’m always glad for study buddies and movie nights.
My apartment is usually pretty quiet and tidy, and that’s how I like it! Still, I’m disabled, so I am sympathetic to needing breaks and needing to finish house tasks later.
Also, I have three very friendly cats!
